You set a number. Then the quotes arrived.

The venue price looked fair until the service fee, the tax and the “required” rentals appeared. The photographer’s package didn’t mention hours. The florist’s estimate came as a range.

Somewhere between the third email and the fifth tab, the budget stopped being a plan and became a feeling.

Maybe you’ve asked yourself whether you’re overspending, or whether you’d even know. Maybe a deposit is due soon and you’re not sure what it leaves you for everything else.

That uneasy feeling often isn’t about discipline. Budgets tend to blur for three common reasons.

The categories were never defined, so everything competes with everything. Priorities were never ranked, so the first vendor to quote sets the spending. And the quoted price was treated as the real price, when the full cost is the quote plus anything the quote left out.

Each dollar has a place.

The Kit works in one order, because the steps build on each other.

First, categories: you sort your wedding into spending areas, so each dollar has a place.

Second, priorities: you decide what matters most to you, so spending follows your values, not whoever quotes first.

Third, full quote costs: you learn what to ask so each quote becomes a full number, not a headline number.
